The #EUvsVirus Hackathon aimed to solve the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. By bringing together experts and stakeholders from all over the European Union. This initiative aimed to foster collaboration, innovation, and preparedness.
Manual.to worked with a diverse group of experts, volunteers and researchers to come up with a solution to help prepare the next generation for future waves of fake news and false information, by helping teachers educate their students on how to trust in science and spot false reasoning.
Together, the team created an interactive online tool which:
At the end of the hackathon, the Trust in Science project was crowned as a winning solution on how to share verified information, in every language, globally. "The enthusiasm and determination of everyone was special and we are very happy to be part of this great initiative." says Jorim Rademaker, CEO of Manual.to.
